La Serva Padrona – Pergolesi
The owner of Combe Park in Berkshire, David Russell, commissioned the translation of this famous old two-hander – with a third silent role – for the small theatre at his home; the performances, in the summer of 1999, starred Richard Suart as Ubaldo and Sally Harrison as the bossy servant of the title, Serpetta.
